WE NEED YOUR HELP

Last summer, we were faced with a sobering reality — the roofs at Camp St. Sava were failing, and there was no plan in place to replace them. Years of limited direction and scarce funding had left our beloved camp at a standstill.

But we love our camp too much to watch it continue to decline. So, we stepped up.

We envisioned a fundraiser that could rally our community, and for months we poured our hearts, time, and energy into planning and logistics. Our committee came together in the most inspiring way, and the result was nothing short of incredible — an event that not only united our community but also raised the full amount needed to replace the roofs.

True to our word, we immediately contacted the roofing contractor and secured a spot on his schedule. Our goal was to have at least one roof replaced before the summer camp season so that everyone arriving could see the impact of their donations. Thanks to the dedication of many, both dorm roofs were completed before campers arrived. And the KSS Hall roof is officially underway!

While this achievement is worth celebrating, it is only the first step. The roofs are just the tip of the iceberg. Decades of deferred maintenance have left the camp with a long list of urgent needs. From irrigation repairs and landscaping to fresh paint, electrical upgrades, pool fencing, cement replacement, and essential code updates — nearly every corner of the property needs care.

We now have the right people in place and the determination to restore Camp St. Sava to its full potential. But we cannot do it alone. We need the continued support of our Serbian community — your generosity, your commitment, and your belief in what this place means.

So here we are again, asking you to join us as we REVAMP THE CAMP. In the months ahead, we will be making some big fundraising asks. Every dollar you contribute will be put straight to work improving our camp, creating a safer, more beautiful, and more functional space for generations to come.
